Karlee asked us months ago (probably 8 months ago) to paint her room because she was "sick of the plain old brown" that was in there. She wanted to do a green color to match the bedspread that she picked out for her birthday last year! She also had a few pink accents in her room, so I suggested that we do some green and pink and also leave some of the brown. My purpose in leaving some of the brown was to not have to tape or paint up at the top by the ceiling :) She wasn't too keen on the idea of leaving some of the brown in there, but I talked her into it! Then it just took her months to talk me into actually painting it. (I want my whole house painted...I just don't want to do it! Oh, to be able to pay someone to come in and do it for me...) Anyway, I put it off on Trent, because he needed to run a chalk line so that I could actually tape and paint...and Trent's been extremely busy (he will finally have his MBA in February!). Well, on Friday, Trent ran the chalk line...so darn it...I couldn't put it off anymore! It didn't turn out to be that bad of a project (my guess is because I didn't have to do up by the ceiling!!!) Karlee was a big help, she was right next to me painting the whole way. I am so proud of her and all of the hard work that she put into it! I really figured that she'd poop out half way through, but she stuck to it! The finished project is just darling...if I do say so myself!!!

Oh yes...and Trent's contribution, besides running the chalk line...he pulled off the tape for me...
The finished product!

No Kath...the polka dots are vinyl clings that we bought at Dollar Tree last year.
