Words from my boy...

6:00 am this morning - Carson wakes up and gets in bed with me. He is still somewhat sleepy, which is always fun to hear the things that he says. At this time of the morning, his brain isn't already jumbled with everything else. Mind you...I'm still half asleep and hoping that he will fall back to sleep for another hour. Here's the conversation:

  • "Mom?"

  • hmmm...

  • "You are a very very very good mom"

  • thanks

  • "I love you too much"

  • I love you to buddy

  • "I am going to get a new book today and you are going to be very proud"(they read a series of books to the days "reading mom" and if they pass it off...then they get the next book in the series to read for the next day). "I'm almost to the white books...did you know they have 3 chapters..."

  • I'm always proud of you buddy

Anyways, I loved the part about the book. To give a little back ground, they read to a reading mom every day. Well, since the start of school, Carson is a stinker about 75% of the days...doesn't want to read, doesn't want to cooperate. We've had to threaten him that he'll miss his morning recess if he doesn't cooperate with the reading mom. Now, in the last few days, he's been all gung ho about reading...yeah!

It's just one of those conversations that I thought I should document!

What a cute boy. I bet it's so sweet to have them crawl in bed with you...but also nice when they sleep in too!

Hope you guys are doing well..I hate that we never see you now. Hopefully when it's warmer out that will change.

Have a Merry Christmas.
