Disneyland 2009

We returned this past Wednesday from our 2009 Disneyland trip. We had SO much fun! Our good friends, the Gwynn's as well as my sister and her family went with us. It was great fun to vacation with good friends and family. It makes the vacation that much more fun to have someone to talk to while waiting in line for...or waiting for your spouse to go on rides.

Trent convinced Carson that the Tower of Terror ride was fun. And since his friend, Lucas, was excited to go on it, Carson said he'd go on it also. Well, as you can see in the picture - Carson is happy and excited before the ride...and not so happy afterwards! No more Tower of Terror for Carson! Although, he did call his good friend Stone to tell him that he had gone on it!

We always have to get a family picture in Toon Town with both Mickey and Minnie. (It usually ends up on our Christmas card :)
Trent also took this great picture of our kids with their cousins outside the Roger Rabbit ride in Toon Town. It's crazy how fast they've all grown up!

Below are miscellaneous pictures of all the kids! The pictures definitely reiterate that Disneyland is more fun with friends!

Ok...so the first time that Trent and I went to Disneyland after Karlee was born was in 2000. We started a tradition of taking her picture inside of Minnie Mouse's house in Toon Town. We've tried to always have it in the same chair. So...I present to you..."Growing up in Minnie's Chair"!

(Note...in 2002, Carson was asleep...so you get him in his stroller. Also, we went to Disneyland in 2006, but for some reason I can't find a picture in the "chair")

Because Trent (ok and the kids) has to have his Disneyland fix every couple of years...I'm sure that there will be many more pictures taken of the kids in the chair. For as long as they are willing to do it :)

Carson also tried the Indiana Jones ride, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. He didn't like any of those. He seems to have absolutely no fear in life except for the FUN rides in Disneyland! His favorite ride is Soarin' Over California and Autopia.

Karlee went on Tower of Terror again...and still doesn't like it! She still loves Splash Mountain, and Soarin'. Her favorite ride is Grizzly Rapids in California Adventure Park. She went on Big Thunder Mountain and said that she "kind of liked it and kind of didn't"...whatever that means! Karlee also likes to go to the Animation Academy in California Adventure. They get to sit in a 15 minute class with a Disney animator and the animator walks them through the steps to draw a Disney character. This time, they drew Minnie. Karlee loves to draw, so this is always a hit with her.

The newest ride since our last Disney trip was the Nemo ride and the new Toy Story carnival ride. The Nemo ride was OK...On the Toy Story ride, you wear 3-D glasses and get to shoot at targets. It was awesome...well worth the long wait. Also, new to us this trip was the Pixar Parade in California Adventure. It was awesome!

Tracy, the pictures are great. And I love the chair idea. I loved drawing with the cartoon ppl. That was my favorite thing to do. Mikes favorite thing is all the wild rides. I just can't seem to do them anymore. Oh well. I wait at the end of the ride in the store and clap for everyone who comes off and celebrate with Mike.

How fun! It's been years since I've been to Disneyland and we'll have to wait a few more, I think. Babies really put vacations on hold. I love the pictures in Minnie's chair. That's a great idea!

That sounds - and looks - like so much fun! My brother did the same thing with his kids - took them on the Tower of Terror. They were both mad at him and crying by the time it was done.

What a great idea growing up in Minnie's chair. Disneyland is one of our favorite trips we do. However never do it at Christmas time, way to many people.
Glad you all had a good time.
