We heard back from Karlee's Doctor yesterday, with the results of her xrays. She has a "Salter-Harris Type 2 Fracture". Which is a descriptive term for fractures affecting the growth plate of a bone. Because the fracture is on her growth plate, she has been referred to a pediatric orthopedist up at Primary Children's Hospital. We didn't get the news until after 3:00 yesterday...so PMC's ortho clinic was closed. So, we are keeping the splint on until we can get her in (hopefully Monday) to see the Orthopedist.
Interestingly enough, Carson fell off his scooter almost 3 years ago and tore his finger open. When I took him to get stitches, they did an xray and confirmed that he had a fracture on his growth plate...he was referred to an orthopedist...hhhhmmm...bikes, scooters...growth plate fractures...I think this is telling me something.....:)

Hey Tracy you are too kind when commenting on my posts. Thank you!
Ya stress fractures... one of the boys had that and they took it seriously so his finger would continue to grow straight and not crooked! At least I think it was a finger... that was a long time ago! Back then we didn't have blogs to help us remember! :-) Love you,
Wow! I didn't realize such a thing was possible! I honestly don't know how I survived my whole childhood without breaking anything. Crazy!
Oh no... I hate hearing these things as Nolan gets older. I just know he's the type to break bones. Hopefully they can get it fixed without too much trouble. Bummer.
