Mindy's visit part 2!

So, the second day of Mindy's visit, the kids were in school - but Trent took the day off...so we headed out to St. George Island Beach (about 70 miles away) and basked in the beautiful sunshine! We couldn't have Mindy and Kyle leave Florida without going to the beach. And, it was the perfect day for the beach! Kyle had a great time out in the water collecting hermit crabs, a clam (still alive in it's shell), and he even scared up a sting ray!

Grace layed on a towel under the umbrella! She loved being able to stretch out on the cool sand.

Mindy didn't bring her swim suit, but that didn't stop her from getting in the beautiful ocean. Eventually she was in up to her chest! Can you see how clear the water is?

The crabs were ALL OVER the beach! They blend in with the sand, so they are extremely hard to see. Mindy scared one up while we were walking to our spot on the beach. It was crazy to watch them run...they can sure move quick! A few minutes later, as we were spreading out our towels on the sand, Mindy stepped backwards and actually stepped on one that was buried in the sand. She jumped and screamed! Heck, I would've screamed too if it had been me! I laughed at her, but was secretly glad that it was her and not me that stepped on it! I told her that since she'd already scarred up two of them, that I would just walk behind her from now on, since she had a knack for stepping on the little critters!

I love this picture...there's no doubt that we're sisters...check out the nose and chins!...exactly the same!

We had to bring Grace out of the shade for a quick picture with her two favorite women!

This lighthouse is at St. George Island. Isn't it gorgeous? And yes, that's Mindy and I sitting in front of it!
