SOLD!

Wow...there were so many months that we thought it would never happen...that our house in Utah would never sell. But, it finally did! Mind you we practically gave it away...but with the market so bad right now, we just feel lucky (and blessed) to have finally sold it. It's amazing though, that after so many months of praying with everything in us that it would sell, when it finally did...when it was all said and done...it was bittersweet. We were happy and grateful to be done with it (2 house payments is killer)...but at the same time, we felt the permanence of it. There was no going back now (not that we want to...but...hey, we COULD have). I was actually weepy the night that the buyers closed on it. Of course, that whole fiasco is another story...but I'm not even going to go there...I'm over it!

But, getting back to me being weepy (cause that's what I do best), there really are a lot of memories associated with that house. Never mind that it was our absolute favorite house ever!!! I told Trent that eventually I would like to buy land here and build that same floor plan (minus the basement of course, because there are no basements in Florida). Both Karlee and Carson started school from that house, we all have best friends in that neighborhood that we left behind, we found out about our little miracle, Grace while living there...and brought her home from the hospital to that house. My sister and her cute family live just 2 streets away. Trent and I survived job loss, hardships, joys and triumphs there...(keep reading...I have a point...)

So...yes, I no longer own this beautiful, big (3200 sq feet) house...

...or my huge upstairs bedroom...and gorgeous master bath......never mind the HUGE living room with sweeping staircase......or the office adjacent too my living room......and yea, and don't forget all that cupboard space in my big kitchen...my gorgeous yard, that we spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on...oh yea, and then there's the basement (which we don't have here)
But...as Trent and I talked about it, we both came to the conclusion that it was just a house! We will always cherish our 5 years there. And yes, we have some great memories there, but that's what's so great about memories...we can take them with us!

And we did bring them with us...to our new home in Tally!

With a beautiful family room (don't you just LOVE that fireplace?...and the little cutie on the floor?)...

and my office (hey, it's still adjacent to the family room...lol!)

And my cute kitchen...(wish I had more cupboard space...I'm just sayin')...

...with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances!

Don't forget my dining room...

and living room...

And my {slightly smaller} but just as wonderful, master bedroom!

with a GORGEOUS master bath!

...and my kids' rooms...which really haven't change all that much!
Carson's:

Karlee's:
and baby Grace's room! Hey this HAS changed because we never made her room "her's" in Utah because we knew we were moving!
and my kids have a big ole bathroom with double sinks...but they still have to brush their teeth separately because they still fight...go figure!

oh yea, and last but certainly not least...my screened in back porch! How cool is this? I LOVE it!!!! And, I'm just itchin' for you all to come see me so that you can check it out!
So anyway, I guess I had a point to all this! It doesn't matter WHERE we live...but WHO we live with and HOW we treat each other! We are all together here, which is the most important thing of all! Yes, our home here is smaller, but we LOVE it! We are happy here! We love the warm weather, I love the fact that there's no snow! Yes, I miss my family and friends terribly...but we're all only a plane ride away!!! So...what are ya waiting for??...come on out here and see me...and see all that's wonderful about Tallahassee!!!!
And also, thank you so much to all of you for your love and support! The past 8 months have been trying to say the least...but we've grown so much from the trial and we are better, stronger people because of them! We love you all!

Your house there in Florida looks so cute. I love the red walls and the porch, especially. It is so weird to see other people living down the street in your house...not the same without you here. Hope you're all doing well.
