I've been neglecting the blog big time lately!! So, I guess it's time for a little catch up...and what better way than by displaying finished scrapbook pages (as they always tell a story!)
Anyway, we are all doing well here in sunny Florida...enjoying the sunshine and warm weather! The kids are almost finished with their first complete school year here and are definitely looking forward to summer break! One week after school ends, the kids and I will be boarding a plane and heading to Utah for a full month of visits and fun! We are all looking forward to seeing our family and friends in Utah...and hoping that Trent will survive without us (oh yea, and that my house is still standing when we get back...lol)
Grace is growing like crazy! At her 9 month appointment she was 15 pounds 15 ounces (which is still only 7th percentile) and 27 inches (25th percentile). She is still quite small but growing well. They are having me make her cereal with half and half and also adding olive oil into her baby food to see if we can fatten her up. But, being small sure isn't slowing this girl down. She has been "cruising" for almost a month now...walking along couches, the wall...anything that will hold her up while she walks! And last night, she was sitting in the middle of the floor and stood herself up and stayed standing for close to a full minute. She just stood there looking at me with this big old smile on her face...but afraid to move an inch for fear of falling! It was so darn cute!
On top of that, she has developed quite the little {big} attitude lately! Hhhhmmmm, must be my child :) Of course, she knows that even the slightest sound will bring her brother and sister running to her aid to give her whatever her heart desires! Boy, Karlee and Carson sure love her! Grace is ALWAYS smiling...people stop me in the store and say, "wow, what a happy baby!" Karlee asked me how come she's so happy...I told her it's because she is so loved!! She wants so badly to be big...to eat what we're eating, to walk and talk (oh yea, she says mama and dada!)
The scrapbook page below is one I recently did. As gifts, we had received two of the exact same shirts in different sizes...the first was a preemie size and the second was 6 month size. I took pictures of her in both and just love to see how much she's grown!

Back in January, I was called to be the second counselor in the Young Women's presidency in our church. I love working with the girls! As part of the program, we do a "New beginnings" program each year to spot light girls that will be coming into young women's. Well guess what...my baby girl, Karlee will be 12 this year! Holy cow!!...can you believe that? So, Karlee was able to come to the program! I am so looking forward to having her come into young women's...as I work with the 12 and 13 year old girls! How fun that will be!

We celebrated our first Easter here in Florida! We were so excited to be in our own home (ok...yea, it's been a few months...but we were finally in a position to "host")...so we volunteered to host Easter Dinner at our place. What a wonderful time we had! Again, we were reminded at how grateful we are that we didn't come to Tallahassee and not have anyone...as we have family here that have been so wonderful to us. They have opened their arms and hearts to us and helped to feel more at home here! I can't imagine if we'd had to relocate to somewhere that we didn't know a soul! Anyway, we had ham and rolls and corn on the cob, and funeral potatoes...oh, and fabulous desserts! Grace ate half my piece of cheesecake (hhhmmm...again, must be my child with that sweet tooth!)

Back in April, we purchased a small above ground pool (yes, folks...in April!!!) The kids practically LIVE in it! And Grace is a natural...loves the water just like the other 2!

More pool fun!
Our smiley girl!
And...since finally selling our home in Utah (sincere gratitude still....!!!!)...we have purchased season passes to Disney World and have already gone twice!! In fact, we just returned this past Monday from a weekend there! We love having it so close (just a 4 hour drive) and know that we will be spending a lot more time there!!!

Our March visit:
And our April/May visit!

So that's about it for us (or at least I hope so!). On another note, my mom's husband, Steve has been waiting for months for a lung transplant. Well, yesterday they got "the call"...they had a lung for him!!! And so last night, he received a new lung! He is recovering and doing well! Our family is so grateful for this miracle and for the sacrifice of a grieving family.

I'm so glad that you guys are doing so well. You sound so happy. Grace is darling. I love the picture of her gnawing on the corn cob. I hope we'll get to see you when you come to visit. You'll be just in time to meet my new little girl.
I can't believe that you have a 12 year old...she is gorgeous!!!
I can hardly believe that Karlee is going to be in Young Women now. It seems like just yesterday that she was in our Primary class and getting baptized. She sure is such a beautiful girl.
That's so great that you get to go to Disney World so often. Lucky!!!
We were in Disneyland on May 2nd. I wish we had been in Disney World, but the airfare alone was what most of our trip cost to Disneyland. Too Funny. I love the picture of all your kids together...what a beautiful bunch.
Karlee can't be turning 12 this year! That's crazy. And Carson and Grace are looking so big and grown up as well. What cute kids you have. How exciting that you and the kids get to come here for a month! Maybe we'll see ya around...
