It's after 10 pm and Carson SHOULD be asleep - but like most nights, he can't sleep. (If he's not settled down by the time that his medication wears off, then he ends up awake for hours). He yells downstairs to me something that turns into quite the conversation:
Carson: Mom, I want to have a sleepover with Katie
Me: I'm sorry...boys can't have sleepovers with girls
Carson: But you sleep with Dad
Me: That's because daddy and I are married. You can't have sleepovers with girls until you are married.
Carson: Ok, I'm gonna marry Katie.
Me: Ok...but that won't be for a few years...now go to sleep please!
Carson: (5 min later) Mom, will Katie move here or will I move to her house?
Me: You'll be lots older, you will buy your own house when you get married.
Carson: Will I be rich?
Me: I hope so!
Carson: (another 5 min later) Mom, what if I don't know your cell phone number? I will miss you...I don't want to buy my own house.
Me: You'll be lots older, so you will remember my phone number and you will want to buy your own house.
Carson: No, your CELL phone number! What if I miss you?
Me: Buddy, you really need to go to sleep. It's going to be a long time until you are married.
Carson: When I'm rich?
Me: yeah.
Next morning: Carson comes into my room to wake me up (despite not being able to fall asleep at night, he's always the first one up)
Carson: Mom, I'm really going to miss you when I marry Katie!
(I'm thinking...what????...oh yeah...last night's conversation...
Me: Oh buddy, I'll miss you too, but you'll be a grown up and you and your wife will want to live in your own house!
Carson: Ok...but I'll still miss you!
Breakfast...
Carson: Karlee, I'm going to marry Katie and be rich?
Karlee: "UuGgHh" (Karlee doesn't do mornings and every word spoken to her brother is the same...uugghh.
It's been two days and Carson is still going on about marrying Katie. He told me this morning that today was his day to sit by Katie.
What a sweet boy I have! But, here's to hoping it's a LONG time before he's married and that he is RICH!! :)

Sounds like you and Kirsten are going to have your kids married off soon. Read her blog she has the same problem.
