We spent Thanksgiving this year at mom's house, along with Mindy and her family and Oma & Opa. I love the fact that I don't have to host and do the majority of the cooking :) Mom always makes a fantastic dinner (she's a fabulous cook as well as a fan of the cooking channel). She soaks the turkey in a brine solution overnight the night before and it makes for the most moist turkey I've ever tasted!!! She also makes fabulous stuffing and Trent's favorite, green bean casserole. Oma always brings the rolls and "green" salad (cottage cheese, cool whip, pineapple...and other stuff I don't know what :D )
We always serve it buffet style and on paper plates because we've found that it's easier and way less stressful to do it that way.
Carson blessed the food and did a fabulous job! Then, he proceeded to PILE his plate with turkey! I was talking and didn't notice until mom finally said, "um, Trac..." and pointed to his plate. But, he ate it all! Karlee, of course, fills her plate with turkey and rolls...that's it! My carb kid. She could eat rolls all day!
All in all, we had a wonderful time together!
