Sunday night, as I lay in bed trying to get comfortable...I put my hand on my stomach (a new habit of mine) and all of a sudden I felt "something". So, I thought, could this be my baby girl? So, I waited...when it happened again, I gasped. When it happened a 3rd time I gasped. By now, Trent is asking me what in the world is my problem. I told him that our baby girl was kicking me! Oh happy day! It was just a small little feeling, but it was there...5 times in all! I put Trent's hand on my stomach...but of course, baby girl Ladle was done with her aerobics for the night. I'm not even sure if Trent would've been able to feel it, had she kicked again, but I'm sure he'll get the opportunity soon!
On another note, I think we've decided on a name...(of course, anything could change in the next 22 weeks)...but we're thinking of Grace Helen Ladle. Helen was my grandmother's name. We would call her "Gracie". So, what do you think?

That first move and first kick are so amazing! Grace Helen is a lovely name. :)
I love the name!!! I told one of my seminary teachers in high school that my name was Grace! She called me that all year! LOL!!!
I have always loved the name Gracie!!! I am so happy for you!!! I know what a blessing this whole experience is for you, and most people I would tell them "just wait until 35-40 weeks, and those nudges won't be so cute and welcome", but I don't think that will be the case with you! :D I think they will be wonderful and exciting each and every time!! Maybe not so great when she is flip-flopping at 2am, and you are telling her to go to sleep, but still, its such a wonderful experience!!! and I am so so so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so jealous Tracy! I can't wait. Every once in a while at night I can feel little bubbles inside when the baby moves, but nothing on the outside yet. How fun!
So exciting...you're having a girl. Plus I love when you can start to feel them move. Tell Trent that's what happens almost everytime Ryan puts his hand on my belly...he stops moving! He has felt him a few times now that he's bigger though. I love the name too. Since you've already decided on yours why don't you decide on a boy name for us!! Ryan is shooting down all my ideas. UGH!
I had a dream that I had a baby girl named Grace when I was pregnant with Cole. I've loved that name ever since. We almost used that name instead of Clara. I'm so happy for you!!!!!!
