One of the highlights of our Utah trip for the kids was the Fullmer Family Reunion. This is my mom’s husband’s family and this was the second year that the kids went with Grandma and Grandpa. It was 2 days of camping fun with cousins…and as you can tell from the pictures, they had a fabulous time! Of course, they came home with all kinds of goodies, as there is always a raffle…and of course Grandma buys them each tickets! Other activities included water games and a dutch oven cook off! Mindy’s youngest 2, Tyson and Bayleigh and my oldest 2 went with Grandma this year! And, the best news was that Grandpa was less than one month post lung transplant and he was able to go also! He was still struggling with things, but with the help of his family, my mom was able to drive the truck pulling the trailer…and his family helped her get it all set up…while Steve relaxed! What fun!
Another fun thing we did was take Grace to a local grocery store’s (Macey’s) annual celebration. Ok, so it isn’t a HUGE deal…but they did have a blow up slide, popcorn, cotton candy and other fun stuff! And…Grace loved it! Austin took her down the huge blow up slide and she got her first taste of cotton candy! Can I just say that she was lovin’ her some cotton candy! One of the employees came up to us in the store and asked us if she could take her picture (she was designated to take pictures of the event). Grace was literally covered in cotton candy and she was squealing and clapping her sticky hands together! Of course, I let them take her picture
Tyson, Karlee and Bayleigh rode their bikes over to the bridge at Stansbury Lake for a day of jumping fun! Me…I can’t believe anyone would want to jump into that nasty lake water…but hey, that’s just me
. They had so much fun jumping, swimming and then jumping some more. Bayleigh wanted to jump SO bad, but got scared everytime she got close. She was sad that she was scared…but we told her that maybe next year, she’d be able to go through with it. I think it will definitely be a tradition with at least Karlee and Tyson!
Ok…one last memory and then I’ll end this post and save the rest for part 3
These pictures are all about all of the {wonderful} new foods that Gracey experienced, thanks to an aunt, uncle, grandma and cousins that gave in to her every whim! She learned really quickly about whipped cream (from the can) and how yummy that is! She even knew exactly where it was stored in the refrigerator and she would run to it everytime the fridge was opened! She also got her first taste of “push pops” , “otter pops”, “dirt cake” and “potato bug pie.” So, what does that all add up to…one very messy, very happy, very cute, sugar overloaded , spoiled rotten little Gracey! And…we all loved every minute of it ![]()
Ok, so I’m going to end now…but don’t despair – there’s more! And hopefully it won’t take me another month to get it blogged! It helps that the two older kids are in school now!
