To blog or not???....

So, I've been a real slacker lately with the family blog...which leads me to wonder if it's something that I should even TRY to keep up on.  I mean, hey, there's facebook, and it's a lot easier (for me at least) to make a quick post or upload a few pictures.  Truly...I can do a post from my phone!!  But, ultimately, I can't let it go...I can't NOT blog!

That being said...there's really no way for me to catch up on everything I've NOT blogged about.  (I guess I could...but just the thought stresses me out).  So, I'm not even going to try.  Hopefully those of you who follow my blog also follow us on facebook and therefore know what's been going on in our lives!

How are we doing?  Trent's still loving his fabulous job here in Tallahassee!  He works for a great company and with awesome people!  I love seeing him so happy about going to work each day.

Karlee is thriving!  She is doing so well in school that I'm completely amazed by her.  She is almost finished with her first year of Middle School (6th grade here)...she is in all advanced classes and is already on track to take High School credit classes NEXT year!  Can you believe that?  High school credit classes in 7th grade?  Who would've thought?  (Dang I wish I had that opportunity when I was in Junior high and High School!!)  Oh...and did I mention that she has a 4.0 GPA??

Grace is almost 2!  I can hardly believe it!  She continues to bring us so much joy!  She is still just a teeny tiny thing...but she more than compensates for her size with her attitude!  She is certainly a handful (and that's going easy on her...lol)!  She loves her big sis and brother, she loves the movies "Toy Story", "Bolt" and "Nemo".  She is talking up a storm and always has something to say!

Carson is struggling :(  He's struggling in school, he's struggling with bully's...my heart breaks for him every day it seems!  He's seeing a counselor, whom I love and feel that he can really help him.  We've also discovered another "disability" that answers a lot of our questions, but also means that Carson (who has struggled all his life)...will probably always struggle.  It's just another "label", but it is a true disability that will always be with him.  That being said, it also helps us to better be able to help him.  Which is a good thing!  He's still as sweet as can be and so, so loving!  He always brightens my day with an "I love you mom" or an "I missed you today, mom"....or "thanks, mom, for making me dinner!"

Me...well, I struggle.  I struggle because my boy is struggling, I struggle because I still (and always will) miss my sister and mom, I struggle because I've yet to find "someone" for me...a friend whom I can be close to...whom I can talk to everyday, confide in, cry on, fight with...you know the type of friend I'm talking about...the one that loves you through it all!  But, that being said, I also feel so very blessed!  I have a wonderful husband, 3 great kids, we have family here in Tally that love and support us...and we have a beach just 2 hours away :)

We are looking forward to our summer!  The first week of June, we have rented a beach condo at Panama city beach and will be spending an entire week living it up on the beach!  The 3rd week of June, Karlee goes to girls camp with our church and then the entire month of July, the kids and I will be in Utah!

I know I said that I wasn't going to try and catch up all that I've missed blogging about...but here's just a few of our latest highlights...

My sister came for a visit in January...and oh, did we have a great time!

Carson turned 10 years old on January 22 and had a pizza/movie party with his friends:

Karlee and Trent went to Orlando for a daddy/daughter weekend at Disney!

We visited the Jacksonville zoo...and LOVED it!
Grandma Yvonne came for a visit!  And we took her to the beach!!  In addition to the beach, we made curtains, hung new decor on my screen porch, shopped...and shopped...

Grace decided that she was "too big" for her crib!  She kept climbing out...so we gave the crib to my niece Kristen and her husband Lance (who are having a boy!!!) and moved her into a big girl bed!
 Easter sunday:

So, there you have it :)  Hopefully I'll be better at blogging and it won't be 6 month until you hear from me again :)  Lots of love to you all!
