Fun Stuff in Florida!

So we've been in Florida for almost two weeks now! The kids are adjusting amazingly well...much better than me...:D They haven't shed any tears...again, only I have done that! Being away from Utah "home" has been harder than I ever anticipated. But as a good friend told me recently, "home is where your family is." She is SO right (thanks Cheryl). So, yes, we ARE home...because we are together! And, we are all enjoying Tallahassee and the heat and humidity. Ok...maybe not so much the humidity...but I'm loving the heat!

So, anyway, here are some fun things we've been up to:

Karlee standing in front of Mike and Annette's house (where we are living until our home in Utah sells). Isn't is beautiful here with all the huge trees?

Aunt Kathy has a friend with a swimming pool in her yard (how great is that), so last Tuesday we went swimming. The kids always enjoy swimming and they had fun meeting new friends!
Yes, that's a frog in the swimming pool! Karlee wasn't afraid to catch it!

Our niece, Lauren had a birthday on Aug 19...and Kathy got a Costco cake! How great is that...she knows (as I do) that there is NO OTHER place to get great cake than Costco!
Lauren's 13th Birthday!

A day at the beach - St. George Island...about a 2 hour drive from Tallahassee. It rained on us, but it wasn't terrible. We played anyway! That's the great thing about Florida...when it rains, it isn't cold :D

Grace's first trip to the beach! (I need to go out and buy her a BIG floppy hat to cover her from the sun!

Carson gathered LOTS of sea shells! We finally had to tell him, "enough"!

So yes, despite being homesick, I truly love Florida! I love our family here and their love and support! I have loved staying with Mike and Annette and being able to chat with Annette during the days. She is truly a wonderful woman, with so much faith and insight! I'm learning SO much from her!
