Halloween 2011

This year's Halloween was extra special!! Why?, you ask...because it was our first Halloween in our Florida home! If you remember, last year for Halloween, we were here in Florida, but we were still staying with my Brother and sister in law...waiting and waiting for our Utah home to sell! It was another month and a half before we moved into our home (just before Christmas). So...this was our first Halloween here! It was also the first Halloween that Grace was able to walk around and trick or treat! And boy, did she think she was hot stuff! It was also great, because I didn't have to buy costumes for the kids. Last year, our halloween box (along with ALL of our belongings) was still in our garage in Utah)...so when I brought the box down from the attic this year, the kids went wild! Granted, it was all of their old costumes, but they hadn't seen them in awhile (I guess that made all the difference). So, you will see that the kids look like they did a few years back (all except Grace, of course). Grace was a cute little Bumble Bee this year (and I borrowed her costume from one of our new friends here).

You will notice (as I'm sure I pointed out last year also...lol) how beautiful the weather is in all these pictures! Yep...it's still in the high 70's here...which makes for some great trick or treating weather! Also, our neighborhood has quite a few houses that are all close together...I'm not always liking that part...but hey...it works for getting a lot of trick or treating done in a short amount of time. Many of the neighborhoods here have houses that sit on big pieces of property...which makes for very spread out houses. This time of year, in particular, I'm happy that we live in one of the smaller, closed off neighborhoods! The kids were able to get quite a bit of candy without having to leave the comfort of our neighborhood!

The kids' friends, Sayler and Scout:

Miss independent...wanted to walk by herself: For Grace...it was all about the "M's" (her favorite candy). And boy did she get a lot of them! Anytime the people let the kids pick their own candy...she went for the M's!
Ok...so I'm slowly, but surely getting caught up...lol. As we're 3 days away from Thanksgiving, and I'm just posting about Halloween! I guess that's not so bad, right??? Although, I still need to post about the cruise. That one will be a little harder, as we have about 400 pictures...and it's hard to pick and choose which ones to share with y'all!
